Welcome to Part 2 of my live conversation with Kobe Bryant. If you haven’t listened to or watched Part 1, I highly encourage you to do so to understand the logistics of how I describe Kobe’s life and death. Looking into his trueness, he was indeed a sweet soul and had a genuine care for women all around him in spite of the infamous allegations. What also transpired however from the various influences that made him the phenomenal Black Mamba, as he penned himself, makes this episode a great reveal to help you look into the evolution of your own life.

The Mamba Mentality, a persona created by the Black Mamba himself, rippled out beyond basketball and into the lexicon that defined drive, hard work, and an undying thirst for excellence. But what were the motivators behind this excellence? Even Jerry West—former Los Angeles Laker, NBA All-Star MVP, NBA Executive of the Year and mentor to Kobe—famously said Kobe “didn’t have to create the Mamba Mentality. It was already there.”

Infused into the conversation, I also use my vernacular in programming to share with you the science of Kobe’s greatness. From the drama that unfolded within his family and career, fans were able to catch a public glimpse of that necessity in Kobe’s beef with his other half of the Laker dynamic duo, Shaquille O’Neal, just to fuel himself in obtaining it.

Yet towards the end of his life, a purity of joy began to grow within Kobe and it may shock you to find out who outshined his darkness or the drama.

As a hint to who is the shining light, parents who are listening or watching, please take note as it is often misconstrued that adults are the caretakers of their children. Rather what has often been overlooked is the purity our children bring back to their parents, and the joy distinct from temporary euphoria.
